Rosie Boycott was the co-founder of Spare Rib magazine and Virago press.

She edited Esquire magazine, the Independent on Sunday, the Independent and the daily express.

Prior to becoming a crossbench peer, she ran the London food board for 10 years. She is the chair of Feeding Britain, Veg Power, and a trustee of the Food Foundation.
